As part of the Annual October Festival, we invite all attendees to join in on our Potluck and Games—a fantastic way to meet new people, enjoy homemade dishes, and participate in friendly, family-friendly games. This portion of the event is free of charge and open to all members of the community.
Potluck: We encourage everyone to bring a dish to share, whether it’s a beloved family recipe, a seasonal favorite, or something you’re excited to try. The potluck offers a chance to sample a variety of homemade meals, from hearty casseroles to fresh salads and desserts. It's a perfect opportunity to enjoy delicious food while connecting with the locals and making new friends.
Games: After eating, we invite you to take part in a variety of fun, interactive games. Whether you're looking to compete in friendly contests, relax with a group game, or simply have fun, there’s something for everyone. Feel free to bring your favorite games along to share with others, making it an even more engaging experience.
Community Gathering: This is a relaxed, informal event where you can meet some of the wonderful people who call this town home. It’s a great opportunity to socialize, get to know your neighbors, and enjoy some quality time together as a community. Whether you're new to the area or a long-time resident, you’ll feel right at home with friendly faces all around.
We look forward to seeing you there—bring your appetite, your favorite game, and an open heart for an afternoon of fun, food, and community spirit!

The new T.O.P.Y. (To Our Preston Youth) new Play Park is coming soon north of the Senior Center. The Senior Center has gathered all the goodies to bring a playground dream to life for our town’s youth! But wait, there’s more — we’re wrapping it up with a sturdy fence and bright lights to keep our little adventurers safe during playtime. Picture a vibrant space where kids can giggle, make new friends, and create unforgettable memories. And it’s not just for the youngsters! We’re hoping this playground becomes a cheerful gathering spot, encouraging adults to chat, laugh, and strengthen our community bonds. We’re all about adding pops of color and a splash of joy — let’s make this place burst with fun once again!Â
T.O.P.Y. Play Park is COMING SOON!
Event Overview: Join us for the highly anticipated Annual October Festival, held every year on October 26th. This community-centered event brings together families, friends, and visitors of all ages for a fun-filled day of seasonal festivities, games, food, and local vendors. Our goal is to ensure that every year offers something new and exciting, with fresh vendors and engaging activities that make each festival memorable.
Pumpkin Patch & Decorations: One of the festival’s highlights is our Pumpkin Patch, where 100-150 pumpkins are carefully harvested and made available for visitors. These pumpkins are used for beautiful decorations throughout the event, and we place additional pumpkins in a designated lot for the community to take. Whether you're looking to add a festive touch to your home, create your own pumpkin artwork, or even cook a seasonal dish, the pumpkins are yours to use as you wish. It's a chance to embrace the spirit of autumn and make the most of this seasonal offering.
Vendors & Food: Each year, we strive to bring a variety of new vendors, ensuring a diverse selection of products and experiences for everyone. From unique arts and crafts to fresh, locally sourced food options, the festival provides an exciting opportunity to explore and try something new. The food vendors offer a variety of options to suit all tastes, and we encourage visitors to enjoy the culinary delights available throughout the event.
Games & Activities: Our festival features a range of games and community activities for all ages. Whether you're competing in a friendly game, participating in pumpkin carving contests, or enjoying the live entertainment, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Volunteer Opportunities: We are always in need of enthusiastic volunteers to help with event coordination and ensure the festival runs smoothly. If you would like to contribute your time and skills, we would be delighted to have you join us. Volunteers play an integral role in making the festival a success, and we welcome your participation. For more details on how to get involved, please contact the local city office, and they will assist you in getting to the right place.
We look forward to seeing you at this year’s Annual October Festival for a day of family fun, community spirit, and celebration of the season!Â
